Recorded originally in January of 2020, it is easy to mistake these songs as some accidental epitaph of the "before times." Prismized by a year of accelerated decay, however, it is difficult to ignore the feeling that it has become haunted. There exists no bridge of memory untouched by this atmosphere.

The songs we recorded seem to occupy the space between calming and upsetting, placid and anxious. In some ways, a path of momentary escape, and in others a somber reflection. It’s both an inventory of the baggage held, and the serenity that came with getting away for awhile.

"We even got to take Milo on the beach: he hated the boundless expanse of it, and he had no interest in the daunting body of water, but he was pretty enthusiastic about the dunes. Even still, what cat can say they’ve seen the ocean?"
